Happy Sunday, everyone. I’m excited to announce that we stood up a simple website recently, and I think it’s ready to share with you all.   You can find it at www.rbfnetwork.org.

We wanted this to function mostly as a repository for information we’ve created and gathered over the past year or so and it serves that purpose well. Here you will find links to each of the newsletters and links to each of the speaker series webinars I’ve conducted over the past year. Please feel free to share with colleagues who are interested in the space, as this is a great way to grow the conversation! We worked with students at a local high school to get the site designed and up and running, which was a great experience. I’ll share a little more about that experience soon along with a link to their work in case anyone is looking for an intern or some help on getting a website going.

Next up on my agenda is to migrate the discussion forum away from Facebook and onto a platform more conducive to engagement. Several of you have shared different sites that offer suitable functionality, so we’ll work on selecting and eventually migrating our discussions there. That will also allow folks to share model documents much more easily, which is something RBF Network members are consistently requesting. I know several of you have docs you’re happy to share; I think this kind of forum will help us get there. Watch for that in the next couple of months.

Finally, we’re planning a survey to send out to all of you to get an updated idea of what you all would like to see going forward, including an updated and better sense of how this community and forum can best help you.

Please feel free to share feedback on the site and let me know if there’s anything I can do to improve it. We’re definitely open to refining this as we go!

Have a great weekend.

Keith

Speaker Series
Join me on October 27th at 3pm Central time for a conversation with Melissa Withers, Co-founder and Managing Partner at RevUp Capital. Melissa has been using revenue-based financing since 2016 to fund businesses through RevUp Capital, and has a ton of experience and unique insight to share. Melissa also leads RevUp’s Athena program, which created a “Priority screening process for companies with at least one female co-founder, an expedited review for qualifying applicants, and a fellowship program for women-led companies that are not yet eligible for RevUp funding, but with the right support soon will be!”

Melissa was one of the investors I talked to before launching Novel in 2017, and she was incredibly generous with her experience and insight, so I expect this to be a conversation that you will enjoy and learn from.
